Luis & Cecelia
Luis and Cecelia together make up “Luis & Cecelia”, an acoustic indie duo from Atlanta, GA. Our sound is steeped in a mid-2000s adolescence, with heaping spoonfuls of Omaha folk, confessional emo, and California dream pop.

“Small Town Cinema, a five-piece folk outfit based in Troy, N.Y., aims to evoke a certain sensibility and set of memories, like driving down a dusty back road, jumping into a cold lake at the peak of summer and those golden evenings spent counting fireflies in the backyard.”
Denise and her Dandy Band – You Are My Christmas
Denise was my first name in a past life (now my middle name) and I like to trot it out now and again. This was a stealth collaboration for the Swordpaw December 2011 Song of the Month with the fantastic Bob Buckley, Matthew Loiacono, Katie Hammon of Bear Grass (check them out!) and Jack Rosenberger of Barrow Burrow.
Ben Karis-Nix – Come to Life
“Ben recorded vocals and acoustic guitar for Come To Life at Swordpaw when the song was just a kernel of an idea. He didn’t even have a chorus. We dialed up a fitting ‘drum’ beat from our 1960’s Lowry Organ and hit record, thinking this was just going to be an scratch demo. Ben got busy, but we didn’t want to let the song go, so we took it upon ourselves to make a few edits and add electric guitar, bass, keys, and percussion. Cecelia Martinez (Sea of Trees) guest wrote and sang the chorus.”
